The capital of the State of New South Wales is Sydney. As the largest city in Australia, it has about four million citizens. It was created in 1788 and is the site of the first British colony. Sydney Australia has been dubbed the “Harbour City” because it is an entrance to the Tasman Sea. The climate of Sydney is a wonderful blend of warm summers and cool winters. January has the highest temperatures in the seventies high. July is the coldest month is usually low temperatures in the forties. The garden offers many programs for the community. There are guided tours and self guided tours available. Some of the walking tours occur noon. The Royal Botanic Garden is located near the Opera.

Whether a person would lie on the beach, get up close and personal with wild animals, listen and look beautiful artistic performances or walk through beautiful gardens, Sydney is a destination that offers many wonderful ways to spend a holiday.
